Ambulatory Medication Management Scenario

	Hello. My name is Chris Voigt. I welcome everyone to the Medication Management Scenario Demonstrations. Our demonstration will focus on the Ambulatory care setting of the Medication Management use case. Today we will illustrate the benefits of having medication history and allergy information available for clinicians as they make medication decisions, resulting in the greatest efficacy for the consumer while significantly reducing any opportunity for errors. This information will be accessed from within the consumer’s local Health Information Exchange as well as from across the Nationwide Health Information Network, referred to as the N-H-I-N. This scenario will also demonstrate the use of electronic prescriptions which will also utilize the N-H-I-N.
